Pioneer Day (Old Fort) – April 23rd – 10am to 4pm
Annual celebration of mountain heritage. The one-day festival features mountain music in the amphitheater, craft demonstrations such as weaving, black-smithing, and pottery turning, “Hit or Miss” engine displays and vendors displaying and selling their wares. 1st Annual Donut Festival – May 21st – 10am to 4pm
Come out for food and fun in downtown Marion with the 1st Annual Carolina Donut Festival, hosted by our own Mr. Bob’s Donuts. Enjoy a variety of “doughy” goodness, games, music and more! Contact 828-659-7132.
Wine, Music and Cupcakes – May 8th – 11am to 5pm
Taking place at the South Creek Winery in Nebo. Spend this special day with your Mom listening to harmonics and warm jazzy chords by Asheville-based Searra Jade duo. Tasting room opens at 11 am with wine tasting for a nominal fee; music begins at 1 pm. Enjoy complimentary cupcakes with your purchased wine tasting (while they last!). Admission: Free for concert.
