Annual local festival in downtown Marion featuring live music, food and craft vendors, events for the kids and more.  Runs from 930am-5pm

Downtown Morganton Ghost Walks – Oct 17, 18, 24, 25

Learn about Morganton’s “spooky” history, while enjoying the quaint downtown area.  Tours depart at 7, 730, 8, 830pm.  Tickets are $5 p/p and tours meet on the Courthouse Lawn.  For more info check out:  www.DowntownMorganton.com

12th Annual Oyster OutingOct 18

This annual fundraiser for the Burke County Arts Council will be held on the Old Courthouse Square and Arts Council property at 115 E. Meeting Street.  Event runs from 2-8pm and features: fried and steamed oysters, boiled and fried shrimp, clam chowder, BBQ, hamburgers, and more.  Craft beer available from Catawba Brewery, wine available from Silver Fork Winery, and desserts available from My Local Bakery.  Lots of local music too.  Event is free, but cost of food and drink is additional.  See:  www.DowntownMorganton.com for more details.

Silver Fork Winery – Morganton

South Creek Winery – Nebo
